Jack Goes to the Espressoria in Joplin, MO
Imagine the scene: Jon and Julie Stephens, professional photographers, hard at work, creating artistic photography of food at the Red Onion Espressoria in Joplin. But we’re not just professionals— no! We’re parents. And we’re dedicated to being together as a family, as much as possible, and sometimes that means Jack goes along with us. You see, among other things, we’re training Jack to be a professional photographer!
His first assignment: wander around, and investigate everything. A true professional always becomes familiar with the territory.

Second assignment: change your perspective. Don’t always look at things from eye level. Climb a little higher.

Third assignment: create your own art. For some people, it’s paint, clay or other mediums. For Jack, it’s shoes. A toddler-inspired arrangement which makes no sense to adults, but, hey. Art is subjective.

Fourth assignment: shower your patient teachers with affections, such as hugs and kisses!

And smiles of appreciation (hardcore, dedicated teachers live for this!!)

Then sit back and relax, because a day of learning is hard work and a little guy gets sleepy after a while. Naptime!

Oh, and doesn’t this look yummy?
